Yiannis Sakaridis' AMERIKA SQUARE won the Best Feature Orpheus

Danae Elon's THE PATRIARCH'S ROOM won the Best Documentary Orpheus

Vangelis Liberopoulos' PLAY won the Van Vlahakis Best Short Film Orpheus

Constantinos Framakas won the Best Performance Orpheus for BOY ON THE BRIDGE

Sotiris Tsafoulias' THE OTHER ME won the Audience Choice Orpheus

AMERIKA SQUARE, THE PATRIARCH'S ROOM, PLAY, BOY ON THE BRIDGE, THE OTHER ME won the Best Feature, Best Documentary, Van Vlahakis Best Short Film, Best Performance and Audience Orpheus respectively, last night at the Orpheus Awards ceremony. Elina Psykou's SON OF SOFIA, Dim Papageorgiou's and Alexandros Spathis' JANUS: REFUGEE PASSAGE TO EUROPE, and Konstantina Kotzamani's LIMBO received Special Jury Awards for the feature, documentary, and short categories. Evangelia Andreadaki got a Special Jury Award for her performance in SMAC.

Turkish filmmaker Hasan Serin and Greek filmmaker Thelyia Petrakis' BRAZIL received the International Project Discovery Forum (IPDF) Aegean Award and the Mediterranean Film Institute scholarship respectively for their feature film projects I WILL NO LONGER BE SOMEONE ELSE and BRAZIL.
