SCAD SAVANNAH FILM FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 20th ANNIVERSARY WITH DAYS 5 + 6
John Boyega Accepted the Vanguard Award Thursday Night.
Guests in attendance for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival Days 5 + 6 included actor John Boyega (“Detroit”). Boyega wasl be honored with the Vanguard Award. Others in attendance included: Richard Jenkins, Paul Austerberry, and J. Mills Dale (“The Shape of Water”), Jim Taylor (“Downsizing”), among others. Special guests at Thursday evenings red carpet included Ty Pennington and Hildi Santo Tomas (Trading Spaces).
The red carpet on Thursday was followed by the Vanguard Award presentation. A screening of “The Shape of Water” was followed by a Q-and-A session with actor Richard Jenkins, producer J. Miles Dale and production designer Paul D. Austerberry.
The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) celebrates 20 years of cinematic creativity at the 2017 SCAD Savannah Film Festival. The festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 28, to Saturday, Nov. 4.
