The Malta Short Film Festival has awarded the film ‘Oh my princess’ directed by Heewok Sa from South Korea the Best Picture honour at the award ceremony which was held at the Radisson Blu Resort in St Julians.
Distinguished guests in attendance were Honourable Dr Owen Bonnici, Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government; Her Excellency, Ms Béatrice le Fraper de Hellen, Ambassador of France; Mr Engelbert Grech, Film Commissioner; Mr Adrian Attard, General Manager Radisson Blu Resort and TVM chairman Dr Tonio Portughese.
A special honour, the Rising Star Award was awarded to Claudia Chircop. This award was granted courtesy of the Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund in the UK.
The final award ceremony will be broadcast on Friday 25th September at 21:55 on TVM and repeated on Saturday 26th September at 21.45 on TVM2 and Sunday 27th September on TVM at 20:50. All broadcasts on www.tvm.com.mt.
This was the seventh edition of the festival. Produced by the Malta Film Foundation, the festival span over 6 weeks and was broadcast on TVM and online on www.tvm.com.mt and the festival website www.maltashortfilmfest.com.
