In a political environment where there is an abundance ofstories about refugees, we felt the production team not onlyfound an original way into the Syrian refugee story, bur theyidentified a charismatic and articulate main character, a gaySyrian journalist, who convinced us that we wanted to go on his complicated journey as a political refugee in Europe. Wecongratulate the team on an excellent pitch, a great trailer, anda project we believe has the potential to travel internationally.

A feature documentary that could become a marathon itself.The team plans to follow 7 Olympic athletes from 7 differentcountries and sports over 4 years as they prepare for the 2020Olympics in Tokyo. Although its in a very early stage ofdevelopment, the jury was impressed by the stunningcinematography demonstrated by 3 shorts the team haspreviously produced on Olympic athletes, and were convinced the project has the potential to offer a beautiful cinematicstudy of the pain, dedication and psychology that goes intotrying to achieve the Olympic dream.
